I am sure the TF5 guys have this already, but I stumbled across it and thought I would post it anyway just in case.

http://www.ww2.dk/Airfields%20-%20Libya ... 0Egypt.pdf

Should enable precise and historical base location and detail.

Nice find Blackdog,I love this sort of stuff,re the topic,I really do hope TFS have taken this onboard, let's face it they'd be daft not to........although we don't hear anything from them do we ?

Even the updates seem to have dried up as well.....pity.

Thanks Meaker, what I liked about it was it gave details of raids and missions as well, which could provide us with some good mission basis when the time comes.

Thanks BlackDog, I will pass that link onto Buzz and the guys. Whether or not that have access to this or similar information already, I am not sure. However I appreciate the fact that you have found it and let us know.

Looking forward to seeing ACG getting into 5.0 when it's released.

I really enjoy map reading, particularly challenges of being in the interior without a coastline for reference. North Africa will most certainly be a challenge in that regard. :)

Meaker you will have to eat your words now mate, as you just heard from someone at TFS ;).

I'm checking your forum regularly, so will either respond to your posts when they come up. When Bonkin and I have info to share, you will hear about it at the same time as other forums.

There is a lot of really cool work going on in the background.

Would also like to thank Paddy for putting his hand up to help us out when we get to the video stage of 5.0 flight manuals.

Thanks mate. Will be in touch when we get to that point.

Cheers,

Pattle

ROFL......I'll be glad to eat my words dear boy......as you splendidly put it,when,we get an update, with all respect,a few lines explaining that your going to check out our posts and respond to them, hardly constitutes as an update.

.........And BTW old chap,we've all become used to the 'really cool work going on in the background'since the dawn of time, the 'really cool work' though, never seems to get any further than forum updates, and false promises. There's a hell of a lot of Grandstanding going on from you chaps......let us know when we may expect a proper release date,be it in a month or even another year,a real date, and you might just witness, real excitement.

However, without a date,or even an idea of a date,I personally can't get even mildly excited,as,unfortunately many of us have heard all of this hype for far too long, and it's all got a tad tedious.

Sorry to be a stinker..........Happy Days

I'm happy to hear any news from TFS even if it's not a release date and am glad things are still progressing. Hope it's as realistic as possible for the map.

BlackDog, TFS has this great doc.

Meaker, understand your point of view, and no doubt others as well. Mine wasn't an update though.

At the end of the day, I believe most people would want to hear something from TFS, rather than nothing.

The flight manual team is now working on that area, which is exciting for those involved. When we progress to video tutorial versions, I hope to see others put their hand up to get that squared away, otherwise Paddy is a going to be a very busy Paddy!

Just kidding mate, there will be a team :)

Cool glad you chaps have it... as it means the airfields in the mission map will be spot on!

I think we all appreciate that this is a slow burn exercise and any updates are welcome. If everyone was being paid huge salaries and the best programmers in the world were working on the title , we would have the usual formalities of a title release.

As it is, I recognise many folks are working on minimal budget to deliver something they have a passion about and as an end user, I will be happy to fly whatever you produce.

If you need a hand on things likes skins, happy to help...done a few for Staffels here at ACG and love trying to replicate historical skins, but appreciate you probably have loads of folks to do this already.

I am half useful with GIMP, so any texture patterns or skins for vehicles, etc, you need help with, I can try to do what I can, but sadly RL is hectic as hell for various reasons.

Keep up the good work and thanks for the interaction.

Thanks BlackDog. Appreciate your sentiment. Spot on mate.

Skinners are all good at this time, appreciate the offer. And what I'm seeing in that space is simply outstanding. If that work doesn't impress people when it's published in an update, nothing will.

Cheers,

Pattle
