I've now spent all day trying to get this to launch. I just finished un-installing and re-installing STEAM to no avail. BLITZ is set to automatic updates. Where do I check for .NET 4.7.1 updates to see if they've been installed?

A scan says that the program that was compatible yesterday, is not compatible today. Although I bought the game from STEAM, they say they are not responsible for support.

Check if you have some updates for .NET in windows updates that aren't installed. Also check in installed programs if you have .NET 4.7.1 there (but I think you have it there because you have been running Blitz before).

A scan? You were verifying integrity of game files in steam I suppose?

If you have all the .NET updates installed you could try to reinstall Blitz from scratch and if that isn't working you could try to reinstall steam.

Just save your conf.ini, confUser.ini and user.ini from '\Documents\1C SoftClub\il-2 sturmovik cliffs of dover' folder so you can keep your settings.

Regular "Cliffs of Dover" no longer runs on my laptop as of this morning. I may be grounded.

I have just updated and my game is now in a state of constant launcher crash... wont start?

I had the same problem after this update.
Fix that helped me was to opt out of any steam beta client.
This was posted on cliffs steam discussion forums.
After i opted out cliffs booted first time.
Thats steam client beta under steam settings and not cliffs beta.

Yep done all that... had to download this .net framework thing and now re-installing cliffs for the second time as nothing has worked... seriously, how can they fuck up a patch upgrade so badly...

Finally got it to work!
Have to say fair play to them...well impressed with it!
