Re: Normandy!
With how the wind sails these days with 1C they were likely forced to do an eastern or western front expansion capitalizing on adding to a somewhat already existing content to save budget and milk possibilities to the fullest. Makes sense to do Normandy instead of eg. Seelow because it will attract more people (especially westeners who put more cash per sale than a russian) and thus act as a better financial slingshot for the future. And with collection planes they can bridge the gap. For example, lacking the correct map notwithstanding, you can still make a Hungary 1944/45 server scenario with G6, G14, A6, me410 and P47, P51, La5FN, Yak9, Pe2.
It perhaps also means TFS 5.0 is close (1-2y) and this may be a coordinated move so that Jason can take the monopoly over the channel for himself whilst TF are launching their sequel on the desert and putting their undivided attention there. That is pure speculation though.
Lets hope that they have enough success and money to jump to a pacific scenario in 2 years time with the crumbs 1C gives them.

Re: Normandy!
I'll again point out that the engine in the Mk V in game has a boost level that did not exist for earlier time periods, so it may not be that useful.
Re: Normandy!
BoX Mk.V has +16lbs boost which has been used by RAF MkVs from 1942 onwards and would be perfectly suitable for a channel front campaign in that timeframe.
Also performance difference between +12 and +16 is negligible above full throttle height, and even then I doubt it would change outcome of many fights.
With current Leaning Forward campaign covering the first half of 1941, we could then pick it back up in 1942 with the Normandy map, Hurricane MkII which they're making, Spitfire V and all the German aircraft we want, and pretty much go on all the way into D-Day.

Re: Normandy!
Huricane Mk. II was announced as collectors plane. And a Spit Mk. V early engine option should be fairly easy to implement.
We could ask for an early engine mod. Any thoughts on a certain early Normandy period which would work in the current plane sets and the spit mod?
