I'm not sure what you mean by "double vision". If you mean that you have to look through the gunsight with one eye, you are right. It's as in shooting in real life. You line the crosshairs with one eye. If you have a dominant left eye like me, then you must line up through your left eye. Most people are right eye dominant, and the gunsights are usually set up that way. You could close one eye, but I wouldn't recommend it, rather get used to lining up with your dominant eye.

Make sure you have your IPD set right to your eyes.
I found that I actually don't use the gunsight as much as I used to since I started using VR as nearly all my shots are deflection shots. I only really use it if on on a Yaks six.

May today be better than yesterday, but, not as good as tomorrow.

Yes, me. I have to close one eye to use the gunsight. But I'm also cross eyed/boss-eyed/squinting (whatever is the right word for it, don't know) so I'm not surprised.

No problems. I just lean very slightly left or right and line up the resulting single view of gunsight. I would suggest not to get fixated on the gunsight itself, but to look through it and beyond it and fix both eyes (not one) on the target/bandit.

Happy landings,

i do target fixate, my point is doing that makes the gunsight distracting and probably contributes to my HORRIBLE gunnery

As Talisman says, look at the target with both eyes. You will automatically line up with your dominate eye. Both eyes will be on the target but the crosshairs will be lined up with your dominate eye.
To prove this, just look at the target with both eyes open, then close one for a sec. If the crosshairs don't move, that is your dominant eye. If the crosshairs suddenly move, then that is not your dominant eye.
