A new statement regarding the skins:
Zak wrote:A few words about skins again. BTW thank you Rama, you fought bravely defending facts from misinterpretation.
So, I'll try to clarify all that again:
- you can have any skin (home made included) on unranked multiplayer servers and in quick missions
- you will have a set of default skins + 10 skins that can be unlocked in campaign
- there will be other options for adding your custom skins in the project officially. We'll speak of them later when we're ready to.
Well, we'll see...

Still, not having any in-game markings or decals to apply over default skins is a huge step back comapred to the old IL2 and CloD.

Mission editor restricted to a select few, and no oculus rift support any time soon...

Fucking liars. I wonder if the wankers who helped bring down COD development are firing off similar responses about this. Doubt it.

Well guys, at least BoS isn't vaporware; a good thing since some of us put up top-tier money to help their cause (not me of course. I bought the bottom-tier). I got blasted by the fanboys some time ago because I complained that the Devs were releasing nearly-complete planes "with no trim inputs" wile they continued to develop other aspects of the sim, like smoke effects and clouds. I thought they had their priorities all wrong (how can you evaluate any stage of the sim if you constantly have to apply a lot of stick-forward to fly straight and level? You'd have thought I cursed in church the way their mindless minions came at me, and at the few who shared my view.
Still, don't give up on it, guys. How many of you can fly through the trees unscathed in the suburbs of Stalingrad? Also, imagine trying to navigate that featureless landscape in full-real with no little icons pointing the way. That will be challenging enough, I'm sure. Maybe. and if not, well...fuggemawl!

Recently they made new and "good looking" tree's.. Yay, more fancy graphics to lure in the kids.
How about physics, damage and flight model get's first priority in a FLIGHT sim :P
