Re: Multiplayer servers
Are you running the steam edition or standalone?
Steam edition, you'll need to opt into the open beta.
Standalone edition, you'll need to make sure you have the openbeta version installed.

Re: Multiplayer servers
It’s the standalone option I have , I’m having trouble installing the open beta version
Re: Multiplayer servers
Im following the instructions
in your command Prompt Window, you should see the first command line as “<root>/Users/<username>” or “<root>/Documents And Settings/<username>”
Type:CD\
Press Enter.
The Prompt Should Change to C:\ (or <root>:\ if your windows/documents folder is located on another drive).
*Note, If you installed DCS World onto a Different Drive, Type “x:” and press Enter, Where x = the Drive Letter you Installed DCS World Onto.
Type: CD PROGRAM FILES\EAGLE DYNAMICS\DCS WORLD\BIN\
Press Enter
My DCS is saved on my D drive so Instead c:\ i change it to D:\
Next step, i type D:\>DCS\DCS World\bin\ as this is folders where its stored....
I keep getting
'DCS\DCS' is not recognized as an internal or external command,
operable program or batch file.
I've done this before but for love or money can't remember how i did.....
any help would be appreciated

Re: Multiplayer servers
Matt , open the Bin folder and you will find a file called" DCS_updater" Right click and find restore from the drop down?

Re: Multiplayer servers
Don’t bother with any of that bollocks. Bite the bullet, uninstall everything you have related to DCS, clean it all up and go here:
https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/ ... ads/world/
Download and install the Open Beta option and start fresh. Don’t bother with the ‘stable’ version as barely any of the multiplayer servers bother with it.

I think Wiggy is right. That's a sure fire way to clear all the things up.

Or you give that thing a shot:

Haven't tried it myself but it's often referenced on the ED forums for such issues.
