WW2 DCS mission: D-Day

Post by Storyteller » Sat Apr 15, 2023 11:47 am

Soldiers, Sailors, and Airmen of the Allied Expeditionary Force!

You are about to embark upon the Great Crusade, toward which we have striven these many months. The eyes of the world are upon you. The hope and prayers of liberty-loving people everywhere march with you.

On May 7 we will host another WW2 DCS test mission on the ACG server at 20:00 CET. Briefing will start at 19:30 CET.

This mission will be a bit more diverse than the first one we did in February this year. It will be a mix of ground attacks, intercepts and CAP for both sides on this historical date. The location of the fightings will be on the eastern invasion beaches Sword and Juno and the area of Caen.

These forces will be available:

USAAF & RAF:

12x Thunderbolt + Bombs + optional Droptanks (player)
- ArcEye
- Coopes
- Doc
- Kubo
- Muddy
- Peete
- Spitfire
- Steel
- Yoghurt

12x Spitfire + Droptanks (player)
- Bodger
- Icepops
- Orb
- Stranger
- Welshy

4x Mosquito + Bombs (player)
- Ginger
- Pinetree
- Stu

Luftwaffe:

12x FW 190 A-8 + Werfergranate 21 (player)
- Kalipero
- KristerKry
- Persona
- Storyteller
- Today

12x BF 109 + Droptanks - No MW50!!! (player)
- Drifter
- elegz
- Jaydog
- Kit Pepper
- Pablodzim
- Pampa
- Rex
- Sure Shot

Map: Normandy 2

To participate, you will need one of the above mentioned planes, the Normandy map and the WW2 assets.

Though Normandy 2 is in Early Access, it doesn't make any difference for our mission. Even if you just own the standard Normandy map, it will work with our mission, cause you will have received a free update to some sort of Normandy 1.5 version.

If you want to accept definitely, please drop a note here in this post and tell us which plane you want to fly.
If you are interested in this, but you don't know if you will make it, just tell us as well and we put you on reserve.

For picking the plane: First come, first serve. The list of pilots and their planes will be edited here.

Looking forward to fly on D-Day with you!

Cheers,
Storyteller

I'll be back from Spain by then. Tanned, rested, and ready for my Bf-109K4.
