DCS 1.5.4 Crash on joining MP

Hello there,

I'm getting a crash to desktop every time I join a MP server. I've tried most of the open ones that appear in the server list, all to no avail.

Happens like so: I join the server, it loads up OK and once done, it shows me a map. No interaction on the map and as soon as I get a few clicks in, the application freezes up and stops responding, prompting me to close it.

I am running Windows 7 and running the game in admin mode. I have downloaded the free version of DCS. First time trying this sim.

Yea, DCS is fucked up like that.
To successfully join you must not touch any keys buttons or whatnot, you must not look at the loading screen, you must not think about DCS at this time, you must also scratch your balls twice for luck until you will be on aircraft selection window.

No joking here, dont touch anything until you can choose aircraft. Loading some quick missions (SP) first and than joining MP helps me too.

I keep a session of Solitaire running and play that after I click "Join". I play until I hear aircraft in the background... I usually get through at least one, maybe two full games.
