September 1st and 2nd 1939 With the Polish Airforce

She's getting on in the years now, but we still like to jump in the saddle occasionally.

September 1st and 2nd 1939 With the Polish Airforce

Hey Chaps, :salute:

I've been hankering after a change of pace recently and so have been flying il2 1946 BAT 4.1.1. and I've been having a blast, it's a game with real soul and fun. I've just played through Poltava's (brilliant campaign designer)"Desperate Days 1939".

A campaign set in the early days (hours) of WW2 as Germany invades Poland. The thing that I love, that thing that gives it soul, is the amount of fairly unique early war Luftwaffe aircraft, like the Ju87A, the Hs-123, the HS-126 and the Ju86. Not to mention the Polish Air force, gull-winged PZL P.11c the Lublin R-XIII recce biplane, and the PZL P.23B "Karas" light bomber.

The story is pretty good and as a whole package is utterly brilliant (This is why I love flying!). Well worth the effort of reinstalling il2 1946 and adding BAT.

Here are a few screenshots...

A whole lot of fun and while BAT isn't great for multiplayer It is a superb single-player mod

Looking really good Seb! 1946 Definitely facilitates way more user choice in my opinion :)
