4.13 release

She's getting on in the years now, but we still like to jump in the saddle occasionally.

I'm not well versed with the 1946 mods and lineage. will have to review, was hoping it was a drop in.

HSFX usually comes out very quickly with a patch. They have a good relationship with TD.

That is correct, they usually get their hands in new 3d before new patch, Charlie Chap is a great modder and a icon in IL 2. However I do not know how active they are anymore. I am active over at 1946SAS and they made a modact for it already. This usually means that a recoding is needed to get it to work with HSFX. Sita say they lack coders in TD and for that reason I do not think they have changed too much this time

At some point you need to take the old sheepdog out into the barn with your shotgun.

I would like to see the 1946 modellers migrate to COD and TF, there's plenty to be done. 1946 will go on as is, it is not short on scenario. I won't upgrade unless HSFX is included.

I was a admin over at SAS 1946, and probably the best coder ever in IL2 is a close friend of mine. He goes under the nick Storebror. He will never migrate to COD and that goes for most of the guys active in IL2. When they leave IL2 they leave the genre.
They do not like TD and their effort to stop modding in IL 2 and they do not like one team to control all modding into a game.
So they will never go into a monopoly that exist in COD. It is not in their nature.
They still got a understanding that mods can be used as cheat, and they will never go down that road.
And I think you are wrong, you might find old IL 2 will live longer than cod and bos. SAS site got 10 000 active members
