1444Channel, near WissantSpitfireNo. 64yes (DaHeld, MarLeo)
After our successful morning mission, the Gruppe was ordered to escort more bombers towards the ship convoy near Dover in the afternoon.

I took off at 1355 with Unterfeldwebel Wiesel as my wingman. The 6. Staffel shortly after. The 4. and 5. Staffel followed shortly after.
After assembling near our airfield we headed off towards Calais to rendezvous with the first wave of Stukas. Our task was to escort them to their target and then stay over the enemy ship convoy and keep the skies clear for the following waves of bombers.

We met the Stukas in time and arrived over the enemy ships at 1477. No enemies in sight. The Stukas went in for attack and fly back home without being attacked by the enemy.
All three Staffeln of my Gruppe started orbiting the area then and brought them into good position for the attack on the enemies which soon should arrive to attack the next waves of our bombers.

At 1426 the second Schwarm of the 5. Staffel engaged some Spitfires in land of Dover. I head towards them with the 6. Staffel. We were in a slight climb when the Spitfires came towards us and engaged us over Dover, at approximately 5000m. I ordered everyone to dive out towards the sea to get away from them.
I dived, together with Unterfeldwebel Wiesel close on my 5 o'clock, about 2000m down and then climbed up again over the sea. We were clear. But when I looked towards Dover, I saw that only the half of the Staffel had followed my orders. The others went into a turn fight with the Spitfires and soon I saw Hauptgefreiter Maalek falling down in flames.
I shouted at them over radio to get their asses away from their while Wiesel and me headed back to help them.

We managed to draw some of the Spitfires off and I damaged two Hurricanes in this dogfight right over Dover, at 1430. But, when checking my six, I saw two or three Spitfires closing in on Wiesel and me. We tried to get rid of them by diving out towards the sea. The opened fire on Wiesel and he shouted over the radio that he has been injured and his water radiator is leaking. The spitfires turned away and Wiesel was able to fly back to France.

Now, alone, I climbed back up over the ships where some more Stukas had arrived and several of my pilots were engaged in fight.
At 1433, I saw Unteroffizier DaHeld shooting down a Hurricane. It dived towards the sea with a lot of smoke and flames. This was directly over the enemy ships in front of Dover.

I grouped up with DaHeld and we attacked several Spitfires and Hurricanes in the next minutes. At some point I noticed Spitfires behind me, ready to attack. I tried to shook them of by diving into the thick cloud bank which was hanging over the channel. But no luck, they were still behind me. DaHeld and MarLeo saw this and tried to help me out while I was heading towards the French coast. All but one Spitfires turned away while I was flying full throttle at the deck. This last sucker was sitting at about 500m distance on my six.
By reaching the French coast at Wissant I started climbing. MarLeo and DaHeld were nearby. Now the Spitfire pilot must have noticed in which trouble he put him self and tried to fly back towards England. With my last 10 cannon rounds I ripped the Spitfire apart. While I was climbing up after the attack I saw the pilot bailing out. This was at 1444 over the sea close to Wissant.

Out of ammunition and fuel I flew back to our airfield together with DaHeld and Marleo. We landed at 1449. My trusty 109 was without any damage.

Led second schwarm with wingmen Reinhart and Boysee as high cover for schwarm 1. Engaged the enemy over the ships off Dover. The fight was non-stop until i received the order to RTB. Damaged 2 spitfires and a hurricane but cannot confirm any kills. Boysee RTBed due to airframe damage in a dive but returned in another 109. Subsequently all three of us landed safely at Marquise.

Takeoff and flight into AO went smoothly. At halo 55-60 over Dover we encountered lots of Indians of No. 64 Squadron and the fight subsequently moved towards the ships and into lower altitudes. I managed to get on the six of one Spitfire and shot off its left elevator and left wingtip. A couple of minutes later I got two Spitfires on my six and flew evasive maneuvers through the clouds over the ships. Unable to shake them off, and with the remains of 6th Staffel flying to France, I set course towards Wissant at halo ~20 and full throttle to keep them at range. At around 3km in front of the coast my two pursuers broke off their chase and I lost them. Changed course towards Cap Gris Nez to provide cover for Pitti and DaHeld who fought a lone Spitfire. The Indian successfully bailed out at halo ~3 after being fired upon by Pitti's 109.

Had to aboard my first landing because of a lone 109, probably from 4th Staffel, which moved on the runway and started just as i was descending for touchdown. The second landing was successful but Reinhardt from 4th Staffel came in a bit to quick behind me and might have rammed me. But since he crash landed - his undercarriage wasn't fully lowered - he came to a hold behind me in the middle of the runway.

We were over the Bombers south of Dover when we spotted the RAF at our 12 o'clock high. We went into a climb immediately, but at the merge, we were only co-alt. Thus, our CO, Pitti, ordered us to dive down and head back towards the coast, what I did.

We were then turning back and climbed to altitude again where I spotted a Hurricane a little below me, banking right. I engaged immediately and settled on his six. He obviously didn't see me, because he took no evasive action whatsoever. I pushed the trigger as soon as I had him firmly in my sight and hit him quite hard. His radiator was hit and he streamed a lot of water from it, while diving down. I didn't want to loose too much height, so I disengaged.
About ten to 15 minutes later, I came across another Hurricane that crossed my path from the left, so I banked right and was behind him instantaneously. When I opened fire, there was a big explosion and the E/A tumbled down trailing a big cloud of black smoke. This kill was confirmed by Major Pitti, the smoke was fortunately hard to miss.

After some more fighting, I was hit and wounded lightly, my plane was suffering a failure of one of the electrical systems, but nothing serious. I dove down through the clouds and lost my pursuer there and decided it was save to go up again.

Then I heard Major Pitti over the radio reporting that he was at 700m and being chased by a Spitfire back to France, so I decided to help him. So I flew towards France loosing altitude. I spotted two planes below me and was able to identify the hind one being a Spitfire, so I concluded - wrongly - that I had found Pitti's pursuer. Having superior speed, I gained on him and sent a burst towards him, some of my bullets hit him and he climbed to the left in an evasive action. I followed him, but was fired upon from behind. I guess the plane I thought he was chasing was probably another Spit that was now on my 6. My plane started to trail smoke. I broke hard and entered a spin. After recovering, I went towards Wissant as fast as I could, but gladly, I wasn't followed any further.

Again, I could hear Pitti, who was now joined by MarLeo and they fought the Spit that had been following him. I turned right a bit and saw the three planes. When I came nearer, I saw the Spitfire pilot eject from his plane, and am therefore able to confirm the CO's kill north of Wissant.

My engine cut out and I had to crash land on Audembert.

We took off with some difficulty aircraft identification marks for not wearing squad from Marquis East, climbed to 4,500 meters towards the English coast towards Canterbury, to reach the coast we turned Dover as we saw fights at a height of between 4.000 and 4.600 meters, the group quickly was separated and each sought his prey quickly .. I stue me at six a Hurri .. but at a distance of about 200 meters from the tail of his plane. I started to tie to my surprise when I felt a burst that impacted on my right and my tail wing .. It was the end, I burned it as a barrel full of oil, and six fat within the British drunk. Cheers ..
