I flew as part of the 1st Schwarm with Esri led by Atreides, we took our position to the left of the bombers over the French coast before heading to England.

As we reached mid-channel we engaged a group of enemy aircraft to the left of the bomber formation, I took shots at a Hurricane but saw no hits, after this action we re-formed into our Schwarm before re-engaging the enemy, we attacked a lone Hurricane however we were then bounced by a number of enemy aircraft. I took diving evasive action after 3 enemy aircraft moved to my six, 2 of the aircraft seemed to break their pursuit with only one following me towards France.

Esri came to assist me with my attacker however as he took position he was in turn fired upon, I ran to the French coast on the deck however before I could make France my oil radiator was damaged by a Spitfire, I climbed to bail out before being fished out the channel.

We had not much of an advantage position when Herr Major spoted the first Indianer, so we were busy on keeping our six clear.
Staying with my leader proved to be vital once more. I was only able to do some light damage to a Spitfire that crossed my revi for a glimpse.
The Spitfire went lower while I was at him and I broke of my attack to not get a target myself.

I confirm one victory of Maj. Pitti over a Hurricane at 0820. This happend over the channel and I had the fortune of having a place in the first row, while on Pitti's five o'clock. The Hurri lost its right wing and went down.

Marquise is a frenzy of activity. Our newly promoted Oberleutnant is already in his 109 and keen to get going. We quickly strap in and prepare our aircraft for another escort mission. This time, our HE 111 bomber pilots require cover to hit the tommies in Englands green and peasant land. Our schwarmfuhrer today is Hauptgefreiter Lee, while Flyby and myself fly wing.

Full throttle brings that sweet sound from the Daimler-Benz as wheels lift from the airfield and our Messerschmitt's slide gracefully into the cool morning air. Soon, we are in a long spiralling climb, the bombers are late so we have time to reach altitude over French point. Lee calls out the bomber formation below us and we begin to form up behind and above them.

The E1 is a wonderful plane, but over 5k she behaves like a wife after coming home drunk, becoming rather stiff and unresponsive to my usual moves. Soon, a gap has appeared between Lee and Flyby as I call out enemy aircraft spotted high on our 2 o'clock. Within seconds we seem to become seperated, and I find myself on the tail of an unfortunate Spitfire. His left wing has been half shot off by an unknown 109, and I follow him down, saving my ammo, as he crashes into the channel. Climbing back towards the bombers, Lee calls out he is hit and needs to RTB. Flyby is having more luck and has already bagged himself a tommy Hurricane..excellent! Now I find myself aproaching a furball mid-channel. I see a hurricane on the tail of a 109 heading for France so I dive steeply down onto his six. My machine guns pepper the tommy plane and he breaks left, as I go to follow, my engine gives out as if a bearing has gone. Damn. I must have dived to quickly..

I break off my attack, and with a dangerously shaking 109, extend for home. Lee has already landed and Flyby is still in the fight.. We seemed to be outnumbered today, so many RAF at every turn. Soon, the enemy odds begin to show and Flyby is in trouble too.. thankfully he makes good his escape and makes it back home in one piece.

Back at base, it is good to see our schwarm safe and sound and ready to fight another day. Well done Meine Kameraden!

Took off with Aurora as Schwarm 1, Rotte 1. Takeoff went well. Picked up bombers and escorted into channel. Saw some Hurricanes attacking bombers and followed Aurora through several attack runs. The bombers turned back for some reason and we continued to fight in the channel. Lost Aurora but re-aquired him near the coast of France. A dogfight was happening which I dove in on. Got solid cannon hits on a Spitifire which smoked heavily and caught on fire. Lost the Spit visually but read later in the game note he had crashed and was killed by myself. No witness however. Returned to base and landed without a scratch.

A problem at take -off delayed schwarm 2 and consequently we failed to reach the altitude I'd intended, placing us at a disadvantage during our initial contact with enemy fighters and causing us to lose visual contact with other very quickly. The confusion and disorientation was further exacerbated by the reversal in course of the bombers we were assigned to escort. It seemed the moment i took my eyes off the enemy fighters and looked below for the bombers they had vanished. The timing was very unfortunate indeed.

I did managed to inflict heavy damage on two hurricanes but paid the price for sacrificing too much energy attempting to go on the attack from a lower altitude and was caught by two more hurricanes just 500 meters above the water. I bailed out of my 109 with bullet wounds in my left arm and shoulder. I was very fortunate to be spotted and rescued by a Schnellboot on patrol as I would likely have been killed or in the hands of the enemy by now having parachuted too far from the French coast to have much chance of the ASR coming to my aid.

Nevertheless I must apologize for neglecting my duties insofar as the tardiness of this report is concerned and the disarray that occurred within the schwarm I led that day.

Leading Schwarm 2 (Grey,Dub and Salsam) again, but on the takeoff run the gear collapsed. I ordred Grey to take over, and hastened off to get a spare plane. I took off last after 4. staffel, and despite our best efforts I did not manage to form up with the Schwarm before bombers were engaged by RAF fighters. I was soon in the thick of it, forcing a Hurri of the tail of a 109, but moments later it was me that had a six. I took a few hits but dove away to the Cape Griz Nez. I climbed again and headed back out over tne Channel while the bombers were returning.
It was milling with enemy fighters mid channel. They are called The Few? Perhaps they're a bit scarce when it's their turn to buy the next round down at the local?

As the first Spitfire I approached was swiftly joined by another, I disengaged once again and extended to the Cape once more. By this time we had lost Dub and Grey had landed to R&R, and Salsam going feet dry at the Cape, with a Spit in tow. I spotted them below and dove at the enemy. Before I got on him, an unknown 109 entered the fray and hit him with a good burst and he trailed smoke. I got so close now that I could see the flames licking at the right side wing root. I took a couple of quick bursts at him, but I didn't get any hits. The other 109 hit him again and to my surprise the fire went out immediately after! The Spit sped away out to sea and I went after him, landing numerous hits from 400m to 100m, and still he flew on, I reflected wistfully that being able to put a couple of cannon rounds in him would have made all the difference. Salsam now went in and left the Spit venting, I don'tthink there was much chance that he would make it back, but he was still flying last I saw him.
Now Salsam got another six, and once again I dove after them, firing at a Hurri that went into a spin and Salsam was clear. Not for long though, he shouted he had a Spit on him, I saw it, and got a burst into him, though not doing much damage, but he broke off. I saw another Tommy go after Salsam, I couldn't catch him and moments later Salsam's 109 was venting. Grey came zooming over the top of me and forced the enemy of Salsam, I followed my wingman towards the coast as I saw numerous contacts above me, putting me in a vulnerable situation. Over the Cape I gained altitude and saw Grey coming in low with the English fighters after him like angry hornets. I nosed down on the foremost one but couldn't get an angle on him, pulling up over the top of him. Instead I got one of his cronies on my tail and took hits.

For what was only a couple of minutes but seemed much longer, I was chased over the French country side, my rads were hit and then I was hit and the instruments shattered, but then my pursuer was suddenly no longer there. Moments later I bemused passed our airfield on the right wingtip, having apparently flown a wide circuit . Marquise was just in front of me when oil splatterd the windscreen, and I but my aircraft down on the runway, the engine seizing as I rolled to a stop. The plane was badly shot up, and I was wounded, but nothing that a buxom nurse couldn't fix.
Incredibly both Salsam and Grey had also managed to land safely.

Took off with Schwarm 2 to RP with bombers, flight leader was delayed due to takeoff problems. Stuck to Rotte leader to first engagement with Hurricans where I lost track of him.
Dove in on a Hurricane chasing a 109 and got of a deflection shoot which made him brake of 109 smoking white. Disengaged and climbed, when I turned back I lost track of fight. Got in contact with Schwarm leader and was instructed to meet up with him over Frenchpoint.
Same time we got in contact with each other we spotted enemy fighters just over the coast.
Both dove down and engaged a single spitfire. Me and Stig took turns and engaged him and kept him under constant pressure. Another 109 joined in and either Stig or unknown 109 got hits on Spit which where now venting and heading back.
I was higher and dove back in and scored many hits on him - to no apparent effect.
By now at least 2 more spitfires joined in and hit my radiator. Stig attacked spit on my six and made him disengage.
I called out RTB and headed feet dry, when another EA got on my six. He then disengaged.
As I landed safely on AF I saw a Hurricane attack another 109 during landing. Hurricane then turned around and set up for a strafing run on our 2 109s on AF, but never opened fire but did a Rolf-Lisa and disengaged.

First time in 3 missions Ive fired my guns :-) But we really need those 20mm. I saw multiple hits from 7.92 on spit with no effect :-(
