flew over in my group, saw no hostile aircraft, at 4000 meters we went over Selsey headed east and then west over the south of the isle of Wight and then back again. The mission was uneventful but that can be seen as mostly a good thing because we made it home

Do you know who this was? @Thaine, can we please check the mission log and find out.Bear wrote:Nearing the Cherbourg peninsula, Casca and Hypoxia who were somewhere in our vicinity were attacked by a Hurricane that had flown all the way across the Kanal. Casca was subsequently rammed by the overeager Hurricane pilot and died in the collision.
Casca's death does not count and neither does any claim by the Hurricane pilot, plus, if he's got some explaining to do.
Re: Adlerangriff. Mission 22: 12th August Noon (IoW)
Osprey, I also believe that Reinhart gets credit for shooting you down. You were not rammed by Martin, you were shot down and he was hit with your liberated wing.
A little bit of smart is much more effective than a lot of stupid

The mission started to have a desasterous outcome. Because we failed
to join up with the bombers in time they were simply butchered.
When we finally met up with what was left of the staffel, the battle seemed
to be over...No Indianers arround anywhere. Just at the time when we would have
made the decision to return to base, we finaly spotted some indianers SE of Portsmouth.
It developed a fight in an altitude of 6000 m down to ca.3000 m in which my Katschmarek IronJockel
lost contact to me and was wounded but could make it home.
Beeing on my own I downed a Spitfire that I engaged at 6000+ m east of the Isle of Wight. The time was 1309 when I gave him a short burst, the plane fully filing the circle of my Revi.
The pilot was hanging lifeless in his cockpit and went down into the channel with his aircraft.
At 1314 I succeded in downing another Spitfire at ca. 5500m south/southeast of Portsmouth.
With the pilot heavily injured or dead it went slowly down in shallow circles. This was witnessed by MarLeo.
With only 100 litres of fuel feft I set course for Theville airfield and landed safely after a long and exhausting flight.

[Hauptgefreiter Krass + Frau Oberführer + mini schwarm on R&R: Abridged report]
Took off from Theville with 2nd schwarm as escort. Expertly led by Hauptgefreiter Lee, we unfortunately never made contact with our brave bombers. Without our formidable Jagdgeschwader to help them, they were easy pickings for the Scavengers of the RAF.
After a call for assistance from my fellow schwarm kameraden, I found myself in a tangle with a Spitfire. During evasive manouvers, the tommy managed to get a lucky hit that wrecked my gauges and slightly wounded me. I extended for home, and with the help of my schwarm made a safe landing back at base.

Aircraft Status: Lost
Victory Claims: NIL
Report:
Good takeoff and forming up of Schwarm 3 under Gray's command.
Much better at keeping in formation and having alot better SA during this flight.
Just within sight of enemy coast, I accidentally closed up my ORAD and just as I noticed it and opened it up and cut throttle, my engine cut.
I called out RTB to Gray and turned east gliding back as far as I could from ~5k alt.. Made it about mid channel before I called out my position and bailed aircraft. Aircraft was lost.

Re: Adlerangriff. Mission 22: 12th August Noon (IoW)
Luftwaffe pilots listen up, please:
There are no shared victories in the Luftwaffe.
Pilots have to decide who will get credits for shared work. If no decision is made, I'll asign the victory to the highest ranked officer. As for example in this mission: Atreides gets all the victories. But I rather have you make it clear in the reports, so I don't have to search and compare all reports to find out who is responsible for a victory.
It's not enough with: Spitfire XY-Z was joined kill with Hans Dampf. Decide on who gets to claim the victory and put it accordingly into the report form. Only the pilot credited for the kill puts it into the table. The other may write it into the report elsewhere.
And please use the form provided by Pitti.
Time:
Place:
Aircraft: Spitfire, Hurricane, etc...
Opponent: If you saw the markings of the plane you shot down, they go in here.
Confirmed: Yes/No, and by whom. This means the LW pilots you were fighting with.
Thanks.
