Escorted Bombers in the England and engaged some Spits, I can confirm 1 of Maple's kills just before my radiator was hit and i had to dive and run. Ditched the plane in the channel about 10 km from the french coast and was picked up by friendly ASR.

Victory Claims: None

With the element of surprise gone - we have formed on the runway at Oye Plague .
Jabo staff consisted of 3 BF-109's E3/B Fighter Bombers , and 4 BF 110 , joining a low formation of BF 110's split into 2 waves .
Takeoff went without a problem and we circled Oya Plague keeping under 500 M.
As Krauss spotted the bombers , in two distinct waves , we turned to follow , So far everything seemed as expected .
Suddenly things turned south , right over the coast lines both waves boak formations , and started to act strange with individual aircrafts scattering to all directions .
I must admit , we were disoriented for a minute or so .
Since I had the courses ready from previous mission I came over the wireless and informed Flyby , who gave the order to disregard the , by now scattering formations and make our way twords Manson as low and fast as we can .
Krauss was leading the bf-110 force and Bubi was leading the 109's on a heading of 320 .
We were just before Manston bay as Bubi informed us of two contacts to our high 2 .
It seems as if we were spotted by red scouts .
We decided to put our paddle to the metal and continue with our original plan .
We entered Manston bay , just to the south of Manston airbase , performed a right hook and ended up on the North West side of Manston , The runway itself looked deserted and all red contacts were spread across the grassy field , As I have began my attack run they were already rolling fast for takeoff .
The bf110's started their attack run from south to north .
I dropped all bombs and turned to the runway just to find out it was already cleared .
By that time the sky was full of reddies , I stack with the plan limiting myself to a single attack run , I shot at 3 red contacts on the way out .
Missed 2 and got minor hits on the wing of a third one I pushed full throttle pointed nose down and headed home as planned barring 140 .
I have heard that Gray was hit , Dub lost an engine and that Zalsam was engaged and calling for help .
Flyby joined up and managed to free Zalzam from the attack , Unfortunately it was too late for him by then .
It was clear to me we were expected .
I asked Flyby if I should turn back , and was ordered to head straight home for Oye-Plague .
As I have made my final on the East heading runway , I have neglected to lift my nose , and damaged my propel or blades near the end of the runway .
Unable to clear the runway I have informed surviving Schwarm members to take the North South runway .
From my position I could see Krauss and Flyby landing , Out of 7 aircrafts in this mission we lost 4 .

Mission Date: 12th August 1940

Name: Krass
Rank: Hauptgefreiter
Unit: 5./JG26
Aircraft: Bf110-C7
Markings: Black 6
Aerodrome: Oye Plage
Pilot Status: OK
Aircraft Status: RTB

Claims: 1x Spitfire on the ground + 1x hangar & headaches all round.

Today, I am leading out our newly formed specialist Erpr.Gr.210 precision experten, to deliver a crushing blow to the Tommies in Manston. Our group consists of 3 BF-109B Jabo and 4 BF-110 Zerstörer manned by the finest volunteer pilots from 5 Staffel JG 26. As we leave our home base of Oye Plage, we wish our fellow Staffel kameraden good luck for the dangerous mission ahead. I look back at my rear gunner Gftr. Willy Wunke, a good marksman but he looks very nervous today.

Keeping our aircraft below 500m and crossing the French coast, we set a course for England. The sun light reflects of our canopys as the white tipped waves dance below us. What a glorious sight to behold, the mighty Luftwaffe in close formation and ready for combat.

Soon, we are in the bay around Manston. The plan, to sweep around with a right hook over the enemy airbase. The Jabo's are slightly ahead of our 110's as I spot the tell tale signs of dust rising in the air from the RAF on the runway. I shout over the radio "Pull hard right over the airfield.. the tommies are already taking off! " We begin our sweep, going into a shallow dive below 50m and watching as the Spitfires get ever closer in my sights. I hit the airfield first, dropping my bombs and spraying Manston with white hot Minengeschoss. One of the Spitfires is hit badly in the *Nitrous* as I roll around and in behind another dazed tommie. Lucky for him I need to break and dive as I have company of my own.

Behind me, Feldwebel Grey has also succsefuly hit the field but now is in trouble after taking hits and has to crash land. Zalzam's radio has gone silent, but not before his Spitfire kill was confirmed. Dub has also been brought down from lucky RAF hits. From the Jabo's, we hear an ominous silence from Bubi, but Flyby and Lee are succesfully heading for home.

Returning to Oye Plage with mixed feelings and a heavy heart over our losses, I land my trusty Zerstörer. We gave the tommies a good shake up at Manston, a few minutes earlier and we would have devasted their Spitfires on the ground. Not long now before our glorious Luftwaffe will be taking off from Manston ourselves, with the English peasant's cleaning our flying boots.

Horrido!

Takeoff and form up went OK. Flying Schwarm 2 Lead with Javelina, Chumleigh, and Razor. Rendezvoused with bombers and flew high cover… Got engaged with Spitfires early. Got some good hits on a couple of Spitfires and then had to dive away toward England. Took a hit in my radiator and limped as far across the channel as I could before engine seizure. Hit the silk and got a good chute.

I took off from Marquise East with Stig, Esri and Boyezee leading the swarm, unfortunately that was all 5./JG26 had to offer that day which we found out later was of great importance

While climbing up to meet the bombers some mistakes must have happened somewhere becourse we simply could not find the bombers before they allready were over the water, luckily we caught up before anything had happened and covered them to england.

Suddenly Boyezee calls out targets our altitude close, i cant find any at first and have to concentrace on not smahing into anyone that it is only when they are turning into us that i spot them just 2-300 meters behind us. Boyezee calls free fighting and Stig informs us of engine problems, I dive for a spitfire getting ready to shoot a 109 get some good hits in, and see some mechine guns fly past me but quickly check and its a 109 so i get behind the spitfire again that now have pulled off the 109. I just start spraying him with my cannons and get way to close for comfort pull up and thought i must have hit him with my plane but after a quick check it seems fine,I quickly try to locate the spitfire again and i see him going to that ground in a dangerus dive so I wont go after him as he is most likely done for, after i have delt with the spitfire i find myself alone, from the com i hear Esri and Boyezee have met up over a town i was not sure on where was and i was somewhere under Manston that was all i knew.

We agreed on getting to the bombers and hopefully we will meet there, but on my way to them i run into some planes fighting under me so i dive. I find a spitfire but get a bad angle and have to pull up again, this happens a couple of times until i lose them again. Suddenly i come in the midle of the bombers and climb over them where i spot a hurricane getting in position to shoot something down i dive on him and get good hits into him where he goes into a spin. I start to cirkle him but after 10 seconds or so hes still spinning so at this point i thought there is a 50/50 chance he survives that i wont waste anything on him.

At this point have have allmost used all my cannon ammo and Esri had engine problems aswell so he had to go back and for the life of me i could not find Boyezee so i decide to head for home as i am heading for home a hurricane crosses my path and i give him a quick burst with all i have left but i am pritty sure nothing happened to him and i didden even think so follow him i was going to survive this one and not do anything dumb.

As im closing in on final Boyezee pops up and "land" 10 seconds infront of me, i actually get a good landing and that was what was left of our swarm after that mission a hurt leader and a lucky rookie...
