I attacked a single Hurricane which was closing in on our Bombers sixth o'clock shortly after they dropped there bombs. I gave it a 2 second burst from all my weapons. The left wing broke off and oil and water were streaming out. I didn't see the pilot bailng out, propably dead. This happend at 1302 ear Slindon and was witnessed by Grey.

We took off from Crepon airfield for an escort mission of a Ju87 formation which were about to bomb Tangmere. We made visual with them shortly after they left the French coast at Fécamp. With us was the 7th Staffel which arrived just in time from the Reich to fly this mission. Some battleharded veterans from the 4th and 5th Staffel were transfered into the 7th, to lead this newbies.
I ordered my Staffel into escort position at the high 5 too 7 o'clock of the Stuka formation. We didn't have to wait long for the RAF. At 2/3 of the way across the channel, multiple contacts were called out heading towards us from the north. The enemy!
The enemy formation consits only of hurricanes. Three of them stayed up high, the rest dove down. The first schwarm took care of the high Hurricanes and I ordered the rest of my Staffel to engage the others. We took a few shots at the hurricanes and I was able to damage one with my MGs so he went into a defensive break and spinned. After that, we perfomed several Boom and Zoom manouvers to clear the Stuka's six and engaged every enemy aircraft which tried to sneak up behind them. I lined up a Hurricane in my ReVi which was focused on the Bombers to much and pulled the trigger. MG round hammered into the airframe and the cannon shells ripped of huge parts and panels from the aircraft. Water radiator and oil cooler popped. The enemy pilot made a desperate turn to the right and dove away. This chap won't be a threat to us any longer for today. Unfortunatelly, this wasn't observed by my comrades.
By now, the Stuka formation had reached the english coast at Bognor Regis. There were several other enemies in the area, so I let this guy go and gained altitude again.
Actually, Spitfires with high energy had joined the fight a couple of minutes earlier, so staying at this place in a fight became heavily dangerous. I ordered everyone to stay with the bombers but we were put under pressure by several Spits now and were heaviliy outnumbered. Unteroffizier DaHeld was lost tragically, as he went into an evasive dive and wasn't able to recover it due to high speed. The rest of my Schwarm defended himself and we managed to stay together. The cat and mouse game with the Spits went on for a while and we could damage several Spits until the second Bomber formation arrived. This meant reinforcements of our fighters as well. Over radio, I heard Pitti's voice, when he ordered the 4th and 5th Staffel to help us out and engage the enemy fighters. I was relieved to know that my men had a better chance now. With this new morale boost we turned in again. I was able to damage a Spit which was in pursuit of my wingman HuffDuff and got him with my cannons. He broke off damaged and we let him go.
After a glance on the fuel indicator, I gave order to RTB to the rest of my Staffel. HuffDuff and Apache managed to shake of the enemies and set course for France. With 50 Liters left, I landed at Crepon. After I climed out of my aircraft and litting up my usual cigar I noticed that my rudder was missing. Clean cut off of the rudder blade. Unteroffizier HuffDuff landed shortly after me and we made our way to the beer filling station from were we saw Apache landing.

Took off to escort JU88s to bomb the British in their lair, at Tangmere airfield. We were short handed today, with two pilots off on leave, and Wolf in the local hospital with a suspected dose of the clap. Luckily we had a new kamerad along with us, Donnershlag. A long trip, uneventful as the RAF was hiding, and licking its wounds after earlier raids. They appeared near the target, and made some half hearted attacks on our bombers, but I think they are on their last legs, there can not be many Spitfires left now considering how many we are knocking down every time we fly over their island. A cheeky swine with more balls than the others tried to sneak up on my glorious M8IP, but I easily outdived him and he flew off with his tail between his legs. After reforming with Grey we escorted the bombers back to safety, landing back at Le Havre in good order. A quick wash then off to see Mimi and Claudette who have plans to do something interesting, and I suspect illegal with whipped cream this evening.
Just another grand day in the Zerstoerer!

My transfer had come through. Flying with the fourth had been a great honour however I was needed in the most fearsome 7th staffel. Upon arrival I was greeted by Atreides our staffelkapitan for the mission as casca was in another theatre of war.

We took off in front of the 6th and met with the stukas. We crossed on their high six and wiesel called them out being attacked so we dove down to intercept Keroth and Atreides pulled off to engage as I saw a lone hurricane I went for him and burst my cannons into his six and saw some hits. I looked back as I swung past him and saw many other 109's give him hell. I got caught engaging two hurricanes about 5 clicks off the coast of selsey and disengaged towards the bombers. I was alone and was hit by a spitfire bursting my radiator without any clangs or bullet holes. I limped back towards the channel and lost my engine power and crashed in the middle of the channel. Pilot was killed on impact.

Our schwarm consisted of Pitti, myself, Javelina and Malarky. We headed north to make contact with the bombers. We found the bombers, and then Pitti and Javelina spotted an enemy flight of Hurricanes. They dove into the Hurricanes. A couple of minutes later, per Major Pitti's order, I headed back to clear the enemy contacts off of the Ju 88s. At separate times, I engaged 2 different Hurricanes and a Spitfire, though I was unable to hit any of them. I stayed with the bombers while going back over the channel, and out of nowhere my engines water radiator perforated. My RPMs and water/oil temperatures were fine. I must have taken a few hits during the engagements. I had enough altitude to make it back to France where I crashed landed in a field 2 km east of Fontenay.

Good mission until my PC bounced me to desk top. by the time I rejoined I was way out of position and alone northeast of the target area. Got jumped by a Hurricane, acquitted myself pretty well. Wounded, engine damaged and spewing oil. Hard to see to locate the emergency canopy-jettison handle. Found it. Chute didn't open. KIA.

My first mission with Geschwader! Crashing during take off! Respawned. In the middle of the Channell I've lost contsct with unit for awhile. Suddenly I was out of the game for the reason "Launcher doesn't response"!!! I took off another one but it was too late for any activity which could be helpful for my ZG! I've damaged my Bf's landing gear during landing. I suppose I was a bit too fast! But I'm still alive and full of hope!
