We took off in a formation, then we went to buzz the other squadrons unfortunetly this caused us to meet up with another swarm and of course they flew with us a bit. This caused me to follow the wrong guy and left me disorginised. I could not meet up with my fellow pilots until we reached the french point far to late. there were no sight on the bombers but i had spotted them earlier so we knew they were allready ahead of us.

We saw them over england and headed in the direction but before we reached them we spotted some enemies and we dove. We managed to do one pass before 2 spitfires came on to my back i did all i could to shake them off while still allowing Atriedies to get behind them. But because of the groundcrew putting a new stick in my plane i could simply not do what i normally could and i had to dive out of the fight. Now because we did not have that much time from the breafing to flying i had not familized myself with where fighting would brake out and what looks like what, so i now found myself low and fast with no view of the coast.

After a good 5 minutes of not knowing where the hell i were i somehow spotted the bombers, as i turned for them i spot a spitfire coming screaming down on me from the sun! I do all i can to shake him off but once again it is not posible, and i cant ask for help because i have no clue where i am. The spitfire got a few hits in and at some point i inverse the aircraft and pull the stick back, just as the ground is filling my whole front window the plane pulls up, but not enough my blade strikes the ground which throws my plane down into the ground and it exsplodes on impact...

6. Staffel deployed 6 E4s this time. All battleharded veterans. We took of from Marquis after 5. Staffel and before 4. Staffel.
I led the guys to Boulogne, where we met with our comrades from the Kampfgeschwader at Hallo 30.
6.Staffel's orders where high cover to engage incoming spitfires, and give our comrades from the other Staffels the opportunity to fight the Hurricane squadrons.
To Bombers trucked over the channel, made landfall at Lympe and contiued their flight heading to the south of London. Everything quiet so far, nothing to see from the RAF.
After 10 more minutes, we could see contacts on head on with the Bomber formation. Short question over radio, yes, bombers were attacted by Hurricanes. The order was still, to stay up high and wait for the Spits. They came in shortly after, from behind. We engaged 2 groups of 3 Spits with co-altitude and managed to keep them busy, without losing anyone of us. After a couple of miutes, the spits withdraw and we tried to catch up with the Bomber formation again.
We reached them on their way back, when they were still under attack. We could observe a lot of Hurricanes, attack the Bombers from behind at their level. With our high energy, we started our attacks immediatelly. I was able to make a clear and clean shot at a Hurri pilot who was so focused on the Bombers, he didn't know what was happening. I put his controls and engine out of action, so he had to bail. Score, but not confirmed. I made some more attack runs on the Hurris, but without any more success.

Unfortunatelly, Major Pitti got the one bullet in the radiator and had to make an emergency landing into the channel and was rescued later. All the others from the 6th returned savely to Marquis.

Shortly before we would have gone feet wet again, I lost connection to the game.

Unit: 4./JG26
Aircraft: Bf-109 E1
Markings: White 7
Aerodrome: Marquise East
Status: KIA, crashed into the ground in enemy territory after a stray bullet perforated my water radiator AGAIN. (For some reason the game wouldn't let me bail out after I'd jettisoned my canopy >_>)

No fancy story today, due to being very much dead. Took off with Javelina, Obermann, Reiser, Hypoxia, and Zyk. Rendezvous'd with the He-111's off the coast, and escorted them towards England. Once we got further inland, bombers were engaged by Hurricanes. While dogfighting with the Hurri's, we were engaged by Spitfires. I eventually got seperated from the group, and was engaged by two Spitfires. I evaded them for a few minutes, but eventually they got some shots on my radiator, and wandered off. I wasn't able to get out to sea before my engine gave out, and I was forced to attempt a landing in England.

I ended up drifting close over some forests, so I attempted to bail out. After jettisoning my canopy, I attempted to bail out, but my foot must have been caught on something (for some reason the game wouldn't let me bail out). I ended up plummeting into the ground, and dying in a fireball.

18:01WesterhamHurricane?Katt/Wolf
-Took off from Calais

-Rendezvous with bomber and escorted them to South London

-Massive furball erupted just before target area

-Disengaged from furball, there was only 3 off us,(Donnerschlag had major technical issues and the rest of our staffel were at the sick bay) getting in would be suicidal, so we went up front to clear the path for the remaining bomber stream

-ran away from angry Spitfires, they couldn't keep up with us.

-Hurricane spotted by Wolf, What was he doing here on his own?! Let's check him out!

-Tommie sees us and thinks it his lucky day, 3 110’s = 3 easy targets, so he turns into us.

-Bad mistake Tommie! on my second attempt I had to take cover for the debris coming off his kite, he went into a vertical spin, but without the necessary tools like ailerons and rudders he had no chance to recover, Katt and Wolf witnessed him plunging into English soil.

-Wolf had technical issues and couldn’t rejoin formation.

- Let’s get the f*** out of here, only 2 left, no ZG76 members were taken down today by damned De Wildes

-Safe and sound at Calais

Damaged multiple planes. No confirmed kills.

Report:
Lead the 7th again, 7 planes this time. Got formed up over the French point. We then formed with bombers near Lymphne and we more or less stuck with them the entire time. We got engaged with the RAF inland (FPS of 15 at the beginning).
None of us got home, mostly due to radiator damage after minimal damage. As the bombers were heading back, I got a bullet in the radiator by a Spitfire (Tyrone) as the last flying plane of the Staffel, and that of course was enough. Had to land but somehow got killed on landing.
After 9 good missions where I got back with my plane intact, this defeat is of course frustrating. Though it was first and foremost a good shot by that Spitifre pilot, I just wished my first death after a long streak would've been after an epic dogfight and not the infamous "bullet to the radiator" :(

I fear that going deep inland in Britain combined with being outnumbered by the RAF will make these high losses the standard outcome in the coming operations around London.

I took off with Javelina, Hypoxia, Malarky, Zyk, and Reiser, but the game crashed so I took off a second time. I found the bombers and kept with them until we were well over England. I spotted a few Hurricanes harassing our bombers and dove in to them. After doing my best to clear their tales, I ended up with a Spitfire on my six. I dove and tried to shake him, but he proved to be the better pilot, and shot me down.

Launched with three members of the staffel, one having mechanical issues prior to takeoff. Escorted bombers to the area southwest of London. We were engaged with enemy Spitfires which were successfully evaded. The Staffelkapitan attacked an enemy Hurricane, with Wolf and myself in support. Wolf suffered a mechanical issue and crashed, the boss fired and struck the e/a fighter who went out of control and crashed. I formed on the flight lead and returned to base in good order.

Status: RTB, Aircraft and pilot safe and sound, ready to fight another day for the Reich! Now hosting the post mission debrief and party with our Staffel. Helga and Elsa have the beer flowing....(Our I & I). :D

Acting Staffelkapitän. 4th Staffel consisted of Javelina, Reiser, Malarky, Obermann, Hypoxia (2nd Schwarm leader), and Zyk.

Our Staffel took off in good order, formed up and headed Northwest to intercept the bombers over the Channel. Assumed the normal protective sweep overhead. Zickzack links, dann rechts , dann links, und wieder rechts. Our Gruppenkommandeur called out for the Staffel to maintain 4K above "the herd". Und natürlich haben wir eingehalten , wie bestellt

Obermann had some technical computer issues, but was able to restart, and then shortly after, he was able to get his crate over into England proper.

Went feet dry over England and continued to maintain Staffel flight order. About 20km into England, saw Hurri's making high speed run's into the front of the bombers. Called out to our Gruppenkommandeur that the bombers were under attack, and that 4th staffel was vectoring in for the counter attack, heading in from the East at 1K above 'em.

Managed to break up a part of the Red attack. Heard via Pitti, that the 5th Staffel was tangling with Spitfires at higher altitude, so the 4th Staffel continued with the onslaught hitting the "cows".

In the ensuing conflict, Malarky, Obermann, and Zyk had to deal with pursing Red b*st*rd's, along with radiator issues, etc.

Hypoxia, Reiser, and I, still were able to press home the attacks. I managed to come up on the six of a Hurri, gave him a good spray of MG's, got a hit, but nothing fatal. He broke off his attack on the "cow's". If only I had cannons, I would've brought that f*cker down!!!

Continued to fly cover over the bombers, chasing off Hurri's wherever.

In short, managed to form back up with Hypoxia & Reiser over the Channel, near the bombers. Escorted them safely home, and put my E-1 back on base just fine.

Overall, (from a personal perspective), a great campaign day. Flew the E-1 all the way to London, tangled with the Reds, and managed to bring my crate back home intact.

Now hosting the post mission Staffel debriefing. Helga and Elsa helping with the I & I efforts.
