Who's darksmoke82? He requested to join the club but I don't know who he is.

Re: ACG DiRT Rally Club
I feel I did OK considering I'm in the slowest car and ripped my left rear wheel off half way round stage 3 I drive with no aids at all, and no hud and in vr. I absolutely hate the h1 cars now though fwd is not meant for this shit my brain is hardwired for rwd or awd cars I vote group b or R5 for the next one
Re: ACG DiRT Rally Club
Have the same setup, no hud and aids and VR. And I also punctured my left rear wheel midway through stage 3, pressed on and soon after was driving on the rim.Wolf wrote: ↑Mon Apr 05, 2021 9:07 amI feel I did OK considering I'm in the slowest car and ripped my left rear wheel off half way round stage 3 I drive with no aids at all, and no hud and in vr. Re: ACG DiRT Rally Club
Ripped a tyre off on stage 3 also, did a nice barrel roll on stage one and jumped off the track on stage two and five. Very ragged tbh but good fun.
Congratulations to Avionic your bloody fast mate.
I feel GRP A would be a good compromise. 4wd, moderately fast but still drivable for the newer guys. Group B will just lead to many crashing out imo.

Re: ACG DiRT Rally Club
Tuns out gravel wasn’t as bad as I feared after getting used to the physics and changing FFB settings. H1 FWD probably made the gravel transition easier but I hope we go on to a new class for next event.
In total, I smashed several roadside reflectors, and my car did a total of ~2.75 rolls, which is pretty close to perfection when rallying in Australia!
Was good fun watching ArcEye and Spitfire putting in their stages Saturday despite a choppy connection on my end. Getting another look at what corners you can’t trust the lying co-driver (RIP Spitfire) surely helped for when I was able to do my run Sunday. Hope I will be able to put in my runs live next time.
Here is video of the full thing. If you just want to see my Lancia rolling, you can go to 6:00 for a high-speed roll where I mostly survive the landing on stage 2 - or 21:05 where I do a slooow roll and end up stuck on the roof in stage 5.
Other than inputs, the overlay also reveals how my very modern Lancia has a sequential gearbox with automatic clutch installed, as well as a high ratio steering rack with 580° from lock to lock.
For the 5 stages we did, in total the Lancia appears 20 times in top 12 on global leaderboards vs. 40 times for the Mini and 0 times for the DS.

But none of us are running the DS – and the French truly know how to make a slow car!

Re: ACG DiRT Rally Club
Any plans for next event yet?
Having tried RWD and FWD now, I think an AWD event would make sense.
In order to make it survivable it probably shouldn't be group B, but other than that I haven't really tried all the classes yet so have no preference personally.

Re: ACG DiRT Rally Club
I would recommend a modern or at least 90s car. Group B should be left for a end of year event with everyone together and terminal crashing their cars
Re: ACG DiRT Rally Club
I had a look at the Group A cars and think we should try them in the US rally next.
