Yeah, mine was a little over that...
Re: Reverb G2
I don’t have a Reverb G2 nor have I tried one, I’ve been using a Valve Index for over a year. As you mention FOV I can safely say the FOV in the Index is great. Clarity won’t be as good as the G2, based on the specifications and what others say but it is not bad either. I am very much enjoying the immersive experience of flying in VR with the Index. That’s probably not that helpful I know but I recommend trying the after market gasket to widen the FOV a bit before giving up on it Boyezee.
Valve Index, Intel Core i7- 11700K Processor, Corsair Vengeance LPX 32 GB (4 x 8 GB) DDR4 RAM, EVGA GeForce RTX 3070, ASUS TUF Z590 ATX Motherboard, be quiet! Dark Rock Pro 4 CPU Cooler, be quiet! Straight Power 11 Power Supply, 240GB NVME M.2 SSD and Samsung 970 EVOplus 1T SSD storage, BeQuiet 500DX Midi-Tower Case.

Re: Reverb G2
It is the same resolution as normal G2, all these additional features are not supported by the games we play...
Re: Reverb G2
Is the FOV modification worth it?
The FOV is smaller than I expected it. That's not a big problem for me though since everything else is great and I enjoy the experience. I prefer it to 2D gaming, and that not only for FlightSims, but also RacingSims and even Minecraft.
One main point for me is as well that the quality of head-tracking is way better. I got more and more annoyed with my TrackIR over the years. Especially since I use a 42" TV to game with and I'm sitting rather close to it. That means my TrackIR camera is rather high up at an unfortunate angle. That leads to the TrackIR often loosing contact and fucking up which is pretty annoying.
