Still in Alpha, but had some good times with Secu.

My first ship, a kind of sloop :

I've got it too. Not very far into my career (I've only played for a couple of hours) - but if you want a dirty English sea dog to join you for a little rum and murder then I may well be up for it if we can find a time that suits.

Hi guys I was just writing a introduction to the game when I saw Miki's post. So I give you what I wrote :

I just discovered this game with Miki, I let you get informations from this link :
http://www.navalaction.com/#ageofsail

If you're fan of the age of sailt in the XVIII century the game is beautifull and interresting, but it's a Beta so there are some issues, like the lack of any docs, and so on.
It's verry close to Elite, but turned to combat more than trading.

Miki, on the right and me with my little Cutter chasing an English (of course) Brigg.

The basic Cutter, first ship avalaible for beginners.

When you will create a character, all nations are ennemies and if you want to change your side you have to destroy your existing character and lose all his possessions.
But if I understood what I read You can have one character per game type (1 PVP and 1 PVE)
do you guys play on EU server PVP and which nation
Curently France on PVE US

See you in the carribean sea...

Oke well I play on EU PVP. As PVE isn't that great in my opinion.

PvE is good for training.

I confirm the ability to create one character for PvE and one for PvP.
My new PvP character has the same exerience as my PvE one, but I start with a basic Cutter.

My name for PvP Eu : Miki de Kerguelen de Trémarec

Beautiful ship Vanguard !

Switched to PvP, using the basic Cutter. Still a long way to go.

Capturing a Brig, trader version.
This ship lacks side cannon, so it's quite an easy prey.

And eventually, this Brig is mine. Hourra !

It seems you keep only your XP.
I've lost my ship, but was able to get some money back, but not many.
So I recommend you switch as soon as you can ...
