New SH5 Forum

Can we add a forum section under the CLOD/BOS/DCS other sim areas for the Kriegsmarine? Theres a cadre of us (Thaine and myself for starters) that want to start a wolf pack in SH5. Kind of goes with the whole WW2 ETO theme.

SH5 available as digital download off STEAM for $9.99.

Oh dear god, I'm going to have to buy this now aren't I? If I see you guys having untersee fun it's all going to come flooding back to me... the skins... the gramophone mods... the hours spent listening at the hydrophone... angle on bow estimates... half a pig swaying gently at the other end of the control room... ALARM!!!!

As if life wasn't complicated enough

And all I ask is a friendly joke with a laughing fellow rover, And a large beer, and a deep sleep, when the long flight’s over.

Thaine is more current than I, but doing a little research shows that there is some essential modding that has to be done on top of the current v1.2 patch version. I will check with Thaine to see if he agrees, because we must have identical installs to be in synch. But from what I see at SubSim.com, SH5 does multiplayer fine. Theres a whole section for MP mission/maps.

I recommend making a copy of your SH5 installation folders before modding, so that you can always return to stock/OEM v1.2 release.

Heres the reference link:

The mods below are essential to make your game work properly.

What to call it? I still love to runabout in SH3, (grey wolves mod is awesome). Any rate, like the idea of the Kriegsmarine angle too. :D

Actually I was thinking of just taking the ole Uboot out to pick up LW pilots in the channel.

Awesome research Bubi. Actually it is quite some time ago that I've played it. I intended to do some investigations yesterday, but then my router went tits up and I sat there fixing it until 1:30. But I'm confident we'll get there eventually. BTW. Saturdays are not that good since either I have to work or I play board games that day. My shift-work is rather tricky so we would need to plan individually.

would be a cool integration... :D

I remember seeing some threads about some integration of DCS & ARMA. Man, I wish. I'd take my Hawg and cluster bomb the sh** outta some of my buddies for grins. :D

Hey guys, I'd be interested in getting in on some wulfpack action with you sometime. I haven't applied any of the multiplayer patches, and I'm running a campaign mod for SH5 currently. I'd get it patched up for multiplayer though if you'd like another in your wulfpack.

I haven't played SH5 since it was first released. I assume it's improved a lot since then by the sounds of it?
