One if his answers appears to suggest indirectly why we aren't seeing the XIV - only the IX.

But I think there is some misunderstanding there. How that interview was done? TS?

I think people posted questions in the forum, then those questions were picked and forwarded to Nick who replied in text, and those answers then posted back to the forums. That's my guess anyway.
