Do you have to have the latest flaming cliffs 3 to be compatible, as I have FC2 and would like to have a bash. If not I will have to break out the piggy bank. Shame I missed out on the flash sell.

You don't need all FC3- though its a great buy. You could just settle for F-15c, depending on your interest.

Just spotted FC3 on steam sale for £8.99, downloading now. Will be on Thursday night for a spot of practice if anyone is about.

I have a template I can send you if you want to. Basically Campaign mission zero; static frontline with a few AI- blue and red fighters patrolling their respective side of the frontline. Then you can edit it whatever extra you'd like to see for target practive/objective etc.

I originally have 6 x f-15 slots and can make whatever slots people want. Then I can send you a DAY/DAWN/DUSK/NIGHT version of it.

Perfect for training as it gives you a "safe" airspace, the possibility to scan for targets and get familiar with the conflict zone. Includes AWACS support and airborne refueling station. Be advised; both Russian and Allied hinterlands have SAM coverage.

Oh dear. What was the name of that American chap who had to avoid five (5!) SAMs over Baghdad in 1991? Sgt. Boyezee?

I did some practice in the F-15 so I now can fly it, land it etc., but I wouldn't dare to do any combat related stuff in it just yet.
