Currently now a 50% sale on all warbird modules. Now is the time to fly the best and toughest FM out there!

Exactly. Be interesting when Bodenplatte is released and a direct comparison can be made between the P-51D. The difference in quality will be very revealing.

My prediction is that the DCS 51 will shit on the BoB one in terms of modelling details, the cockpit in the DCS one is honestly incredible. FM will probably be a lot more forgiving in BoX as well, and unfortunately you still can't click on anything in BoX (which pisses me off since all the shit moves, you just can't click on it yourself) which is a huge feather in DCS' cap.

How active is the WWII online scene in DCS right now? Always seemed like a ghost town in my time zone, though this was pre-Normandy release.

It is still very sparsely populated. Hopefully it will improve when the framwork is up, with the new AI models, new damage model and others fixes etc. But the limited map and planeset, the high price and complexity etc- will probably keep the masses firmly entrenched in the Il2 scene for all foresable future. That does not mean that DCS WW2 is dead and gone, on the contrary, but it builds slowly in the right direction.

That's the death nail for me really, the aircraft are great to fly, but multiplayer's always felt really dead. On the occasions I have been able to get a decent fight, it doesn't last because suddenly everyone files into the same team, so it's like 6 Blue vs 2 Red and that's no fun at all.

Yeah I can understand the lack of red players for your timezone.
