Flew as part of the first Schwarm with Esri and Zalzam led by Atreides, Zalzam had some technical issues on take off and had to abort his mission.

We met up with the bombers before taking position on their left flank, we followed them over the English coast line before spotting the enemy, Atreides scored hits on 2 Hurricanes however I did not witness them crash, after inital engangement our Schwarm attempted to re-form however Esri was attacked before we could link up with him.

We patrolled dover before I took evasive action after 2 Spitfires moved to my six, Atreides followed us down to clear my tail, I then turned to assist Atreides before they dis-engaged.

We attempted to answer a SOS call from 2nd Schwarm where Stary was being pursued over the channel but before finding him we came across more enemy aircraft mid channel, we dived away as we didn't have a good position with which to fight them.

We then patrolled the French coast to cover returning units from 6th Staffel, light flak was seen off the coast but I could not spot any enemy aircraft.

Atreides gave the call to RTB, as we throttled down and began our landing approach we spotted heavy flak over the airfield, as we were down to 500m and low energy all we could do was to attempt to speed up and gain altitude but as I throttled up I was bounced by a Spitfire over our airfield, my aircraft caught fire but cleared after a few seconds as I used what height I had left to dive to the deck.

Before long I saw my attacker crash into a field as another 109 took care of him.

Summary:
Damaged Hurricanes over Dover and over Cliffs of France. One of them reported on the server to be shoot down but I didn't see that and can't confirm.

Claims:
Damaged 2 Hurricanes

Report:
We took off from Marquise East and form up on the left side of Bf110 formation. Soon our shwarm leader Lee had to RTB due to engine malfunction. I formed up on Krass and Flyby and spend most of the time with them chasing contact high over Dover (c.a. 6000 metres). I engaged with Hurricane for 5 minutes and maneged to give him one high deflection burst with all four MG's. Meanwhile I heard Flyby and Krass being engaged by the enemy too. Then two Spits arrived to help Hurricanne I was fighting with and after I while (and consultation with Lee who was helping me in communication with the rest of the staffel from the ground - thanx Lee!) I disengaged. I was flying over channel with at least one contact on my far six. Atriedes and his swarm was tring to help me but they were engaged by Spits mid channel. I cilmbed again to 2000 metres over cliffs of France and spotted 109's being chased by multiple fighters. "It might be Atreides schwarm!" I thought to myself and dove to them. I gave solid MG burst to Hurricane that was cheasing venting 109. It was reported as shot down after couple minutes on the server but I didn't see that. At that time Atreidas told me to disengage so I returned to Marquise East. Uneventful landing. Not even a single bullet in my plane. Good mission.

Pilot Status: OK (floating just off of French coast)
Aircraft Status: Lost / water damage warranty void

Took off from Hydrequent/Marquis east with Stig and Grizzly,
climbed to 4km and circled marquis west we and made heading to calais, we met up with Aviator and then headed north west west to meet up with the bombers.

We started heading to Dover when I noticed aviator had a perforated radiator,
me and aviator decided to head back to base and get a new plane and so I could fly with aviator and we could navigate together.
we took off and headed straight for Dover while climbing to 4km,
It turned out aviator had lost me when we were at;east 2kM from Dover and at the point that i had come to the conclusion that aviator had lost me, and we were pretty close to the danger zone. I could see contacts the first contact was a spitfire at around 3.5km took some shots at him and he evaded me and dived away.

So I continued looking around I saw many planes but couldn't ID them the were already engaged in fights and some groupd of planes that turned out to be BF109 flying around, I've flown up behind them and identified them (they usually get scared and try to shake me off when I do this).
Later on I encountered a spitfire and made a shot at him just south of Dover, I did not see any impacts so I climbed up and dived down again and I did this a few times while he was turning trying to avoid me,
on my last dive I noticed a second contact pass the spitfire that I was engaged with, I acknowledged this in my head that it could be another RAF fighter but I still went down (bad decision),
I made my pass on him and this other aircraft came up behind while I was climbing and took a shot and hit my radiator.(it was an extremely short burst because I only heard one hit)
So I headed straight back to French point with a aircraft streaming of water that should be in the radiator, I looked back at the cliffs and noticed a aircraft turning towards me, I ignored him and hoped he will leave me alone,
I concentrated on my aircraft and making the best of the situation by climbing up and gaining altitude, a few mins later my aircraft failed on me so I bailed out close to the French coast.

The end.

Summary-

kills=0
hits =~1
landed safely=no
encontered aircraft=two spitfires and maybe a hurricane

Our schwarm, led by Hauptgefreiter Lee, took of from our airfield at Hydrequent. I formed up with Lee and Obergefreiter StrayMruk with Unteroffizier Flyby behind me. After climbing to 4k above French point, our schwarm rendezvoused with the bombers and we began the escort to Dover.

Mid channel, the mischievous code gremlins decided to attack Lee's engine and he was forced to RTB. The rest of our schwarm carried on to Dover and began a sweeping patrol at around 5k above the port harbour. Soon, while in a shallow right bank, I spotted at least 3 Spits comimg round behind us. I called to Flyby and StarryMruk who both broke away while I came around on the Spits six. He tried to bank right, and I gave him a good burst, observing hits across his wings and fuselage as he dived away.

I now kept my energy up and maintained a steady climb. As I leveled out, I checked all around for enemy and contacted Flyby and StaryMruk who reported they were now engaged low over Dover. Mid conversation a sudden burst hit my canopy and it all went black in an instant. My resurrection note to our schwarm included leaving the cave door slightly ajar, those big stone boulders are a bugger to move.

Synopsis:

My head was throbbing when I woke up this morning. The French wine does me no favors. The filles on the other hand... I climbed out of bed and left the brothel behind me as I walked down the road back to Marquise-Ost. Isabelle and Genvieve called to me but my French is still a little rusty from my boarding school days and I can't be bothered to turn back now. There's a war on! Surely I'll catch hell from the Gruppenkommandeur and Staffelkapitain for being late to the briefing yet again. Besides, those girls aren't going anywhere and neither am I.

I got a stern look from Leutnant Reinhart as I clambered in to the briefing 5 minutes late but he let me off the hook. He understands, besides my throbbing head is punishment enough. I couldn't wait to get to altitude and on oxygen. On the first sortie of the say I was to fly as number four in the second schwarm of 4 staffel. After an accident on the far end of the runway, the entire Gruppe was airborne and we began our climb to rendevous with the formation of 110's destined to raid Dover. 4 staffel was the last staffel up and we played catch up all the way across the channel. As the 110's descended on Dover, we continued on to intercept would-be attackers in the Canterbury area. Sure enough, we spotted several vics of Hurricanes climbing 500m below us.

We were given the all clear to engage. Second schwarm rolled over and dove on those poor Tommies. They saw us coming at the last minute. I landed a cannon shell or two on one of their wing tips but no serious damage was visible. The next 15 minutes was a chess match with 109's Hurricanes and Spitfires all over the Deal coast trying to gain the upper hand.

I called out to what I thought was a 109 climbing to the NNE off the coast of Deal who seemed to have a trail. Sure enough, it was my wingman Gefreiter Skannon. We'd become separated during the fight. They were at 4.5km and in a steady climb. I immediately banked left and dove. I climbed up into his blind spot and closed the distance to less than 100m. I pulled both triggers and landed many goo hits. His water radiator was hit and I believe something flew off his wing, most likely an aileron. I followed him as he worked his way back to England and continued to make passes in the hope time would take it's toll on the engine. I only fired once after the first pass and landed some MG hits on his starboard wing near the roundel. I let him go at 2km and Skannon made one more pass on him low near the coast of England. At that point we broke off and began to climb paralleling the coast between Dover and Folkestone.

Over Dover we spotted and engaged a flight of 3 Hurricanes which appeared to be following each other in a very tight turn, dangerously close to stalling. I flew through them to break them up and they did so. I climbed up steeply to reassess and be sure my six was clear. Then I spotted a Hurricane directly over Dover proper and engaged. He reacted like he had seen me but he did something very strange. The Hurricane half rolled as if he were going to turn to avoid my pass. I began to pull up to set up another pass when I noticed he kept rolling until he was flying upside down. He remained inverted for the longest time. I held fire until I felt good about the shot. At 180m I pulled both triggers. Shells were seen to hit near the cockpit area and the Hurricane went into a spiral. As I flew past I noticed either SD-C or SD-G on his fuselage. He went in just on the NE edge of Dover. I called 'Horrido!' over the radio but can't remember if anyone saw it. I was relatively low over Tommy territory and in a hornet's nest of enemy fighters. I tucked tail and headed for France, full throttle.

Just as I set course for home Gruppenkommandeur Pitti ordered "All units, Havanna Havanna." I met up with Skannon just before we hit the French coast. I had a tail most of the way across the channel but he broke away as we neared the French coast. I believe it was a Spitfire. I told Skannon I would cover for him while he set down. As he landed and I was turning to enter the circuit, Skannon shouted, "Flak just East of the field between 1 and 2k!" I whipped my head around and spotted the flak. I powered up and circled around the intruder while gaining altitude. The Spitfire was in a very gentle right hand descent. There were at least a couple 109's climbing up after him. I put my 109 into a gentle right to cut his turn and put my nose where I judged he would be in just a few moments. He didn't take any evasive maneuvers as my crosshairs came closer to him. Again, I pulled both triggers and landed rounds. He stayed in that right hand descent and crashed to the South of Marquise-Ost. I flew alongside and saw the pilot slumped over the controls. SH-V were the markings on his plane. I gave him a posthumous salute and pulled away as he spiraled into unforgiving terra firma.

With the airspace over Marquise clear, I turned again onto long final. During the crucial 'point of no return' part of my approach, I suddenly went numb (screen stutter) and hit the ground hard. I bounced and came down harder. I survived but the plane did not. The black men pulled me from the plane remarkably unscathed and after a shot or two of some god awful rock gut something or other, I was as good as new. Now, where are Genvieve and Isabelle?

During this campaign, I was #3 in Schwarm 1. during initial takeoff, I was bumped by the enemy (my wife who was putting our dogs away) which caused me to veer right and slam into a bunker. Upon recreation I was successful in joining Schwarm 1. At this point, the 4th was lagging behind the other two Staffels whom had already linked up with the 110’s. Schwarm 1 entered the fray over the English coast. Reinhart and I were wingmates and I followed him through a dive in which an enemy fighter latched onto his tail. I fired on him and caused him to break. Afterwards, we lost visual on each other and were on our own. At this point, I had upwards of 4 enemy aircraft chasing me. I chose to go into a shallow dive because we were at about the same E. I was heading for English point (Our rally position) when I was instantly killed by a flak hit. I would like to add that the flak gunners for the English are extremely well trained and have the uncanny ability to take out enemy aircraft traveling at over 550 km/h. We should be afraid.

Heretic and I engaged a single Spitfire near Dover when I sighted another one coming in and shortly after a third joined the party. We were outnumbered...I called out that Heretic had already one Indianer on his six and should brake, but it was too late.
His radiator was damaged and he had to run home. I made the decision to stay in the combat area. Over radio I was alarmed that Piti and MarLeo were in a bad position as well. I went for support.
Maj.Pitti had just attacked a Spit and broke away, when I went in on the Spitfire for another pass.
* When I was in cannon range the Spitfire broke hard right and stalled, so that I had no chance to avoid the colision. The poor devil went staight down to earth at ca. 0853h. This was witnessed by 6./JG26_MarLeo. My 109 only suffered a damaged left ailron and left wing in the colision but was still flyable.
With my damaged 109 I returned to base.
